FISHING -- If you dream of catching a big steelhead, don't turn a cold shoulder to winter fishing in Idaho's Clearwater River.

Here's today's report from Toby Wyatt of Clarkston-based Reel Time Fishing:

Steelhead fishing on the Clearwater this month has been consistently producing between 7 and 10 fish a day with a few higher catch days thrown in the mix. A couple days ago one of our boats landed 19.

The weather has been mild and makes for a nice escape from colder climates. January thru February on the Clearwater River provides opportunities for world-class steelhead fishing you can't find anywhere else. This is the time of year where seeing 20+ fish days is not uncommon as fish begin to stack up in the slower, deeper holes.
