TRAILS -- Advocates of the trails and habitat along the South Hill Bluff invite the public to hear updates TONIGHT on projects along with an historical perspective of slope above Hangman Creek by Spokane naturalist and author Jack Nisbet.

The free annual meeting event starts at 6:30pm tonight, March 29, at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 5720 S. Perry St.

The Friends group, founded in 2010, has been a vital community partner to the many people who hike, bike and explore the priceless trails on the slope that drops from High Drive to the Hangman Valley.

Trash cleanups, forest health projects, weed control, trail building and more have been coordinated by this volunteer organization.

The group has helped distinguish the swath of city land on the south end of town as a regional gem at the edge of a neighborhood.

Check them out.
