Salmonfly hatch: Game’s on in the upper Deschutes River

FISHING -- Good reports have been coming from the annual mid-May salmonfly hatch frenzy along the upper Deschutes River in Oregon.  But seeing is believing.

Here's today's fishing report from fly fisher Nic Calero of Portland.  He also posted photos if deep-red banded rainbow trout.

But all you need to see is the supersized bugs to know the fishing is worth the journey.
