HIKING -- Official search and rescue efforts have been suspended for Kris Fowler, a Pacific Crest Trail thru hiker who's been missing in the  Washington portion of the 2,660-mile trail since Oct. 12.

But family and friends continue to hold hope that adventurers or hunters in the mountains this fall will come up with a clue to Fowler's whereabouts.
