OUTDOOR GROUPS -- Backcountry Hunters & Anglers invites members and other sports with similar interests to raise a brew and see what the Washington Chapter is up to in the region and around the state.

The group's BHA Pint Night is set for 6 p.m.-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1, at Orlison Brewing, 1017 W. 1st Ave. in Spokane.

"We take the advice of Theodore Roosevelt," the Missoula-based national group says in its Mission Statement:

'Preserve large tracts of wilderness ... for the exercise of the skill of the hunter, whether or not he is a man of means.'
