WINTERSPORTS -- After a soft holiday weekend opening for snow tubing, scenic rides and skiing and boarding on the beginner hill, Silver Mountain Resort plans to crank up more lifts on Friday through Sunday.

The resort plans to operate Chair 1, 2 and the beginner conveyer lift.

Chairlift hours are from 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with first gondola loads at 8:15 am.

Prices for an all day adult ticket will be $35 and youth $27.

More snow is in the forecast this week.

Lookout Pass and 49 Degrees opened last weekend.

As always, check resort snow reports before leaving town to be sure their opening plans haven't changed.
