FISHING -- Starting today, anglers can catch and keep all the fish they want out of two Grant County trout management lakes scheduled for rehabilitation this fall.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has removed daily limits and size limits for all species and extended the fishing season on the two popular lakes as follows.

  • Blue Lake -- Effective immediately through Oct. 21, 2016, Blue Lake is open to fishing with no daily limit and no size limits for all game fish.
  • Park Lake -- Effective immediately through Oct. 28, 2016, Park Lake is open to fishing with no daily limit and no size limits for all game fish.

All other permanent fishing rules remain in effect at the lakes.

Reasons for action: These lakes are scheduled to be treated with rotenone for fish management purposes. The treatment kills all fish so the lakes are a clean slate for trout stocking next spring.
