PARKS -- Remember, personal belongings aren't safe in the cab of locked vehicles at Spokane City Parks and trailheads.

A Facebook friend had a great day of cold, winter skiing on Rimrock Drive overlooking west Spokane Sunday only to return and find his pickup windows broken out and the cab of his pickup ransacked.

This is his SECOND experience with break-ins at Palisades, a fine year-round trail experience for hikers near Indian Canyon Golf Course.

Here's his summary of the events affecting him and his skiing partner:

The only thing visible were our street shoes and jackets. They took my jacket and her wallet, which was in the pocket of the door. They racked up $2000 in charges in one hour before she could cancel her cards. Man I hate thieves.
