Pines unleash potent cloud of ponderosa propagation

NATURE -- If that's pine tree sex in the air this morning, it's safe to say the ponderosas around Spokane were on Viagra last night.

I didn't even bother to check the pollen count Tuesday evening after riding my bicycle home from work.  My nose, lungs and eyes were screaming high numbers -- and begging for Aller-Fex.

This morning I donned my high-visibility yellow cycling jacket -- and instead of standing out I essentially blended into the pine-pollen-coated landscape around the South Hill.

After the past new months, I never thought I'd so quickly wish for another dose of rain.
