I recently went to San Antonio to visit a girlfriend. The day after returning, my husband asks what is with my clothes and says that he never knows what to expect after my weekend out. (He probably thinks that I’m going through a midlife crisis.) My girlfriend and I went shopping, shopping, shopping and eating, eating, eating. Oh yeah, and drinking, drinking, drinking. We had such a wonderful time together. I came back renewed.

It is a great thing to have a friend. As mothers and wives, we women need to cling to those friendships. As we go on with our busy lives, including jobs and family, it is important to be true to ourselves and do things just for us. After all, a home with a happy mom is a happy home.
