Dishman, Washington, one of the nearest to the city of all Spokane Valley neighborhoods, is now largely forgotten except for some business and street names. But the pioneers it is named after played a role in the development of the valley and in the city of Sandpoint and Bayview before the turn of the 20th century. Do you have memories of when Dishman was a recognized business district? See Monday's newspaper for the story. The Then and Now feature for the past week, featuring the Shopping Center building and Woolworths, is here.
