Fight at restaurant leads to shooting

A fight at a downtown Spokane restaurant led to a shooting early Sunday.

Two men were shot in their lower legs by someone inside a white van after an altercation at Tacos Tumbras at West Second Avenue and South Cedar Street about 1:40 a.m., police said.

Police located the van at North Division Street and East Buckeye Street. The occupants denied shooting anyone but said they'd argued with others at the restaurant, police said.

Witnesses could not identify anyone in the van, so police released them after taking down their information.

The van was seized for evidence, and the investigation is ongoing.
