Man arrested, released, arrested again

A 45-year-old Spokane man was arrested last week after deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle at a north Spokane construction company.

Theodore Francis Gilman was booked into jail Thursday on second-degree burglary and theft of a motor vehicle charges after deputies found him driving a white truck with no headlights on a fenced commercial property belonging to Lance Pounder Excavation, according to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office. The truck also belonged to the company.

Deputies first responded to the neighboring IBEX Construction at 8015 N. Regal St. and spotted a hole cut in a fence and several gas cans gathered next to it. A woman sleeping in a vehicle nearby was detained and later released.

Gilman was released from jail when charges weren't filed with 72 hours, but he returned to jail Sunday on new charges of resisting arrest and taking a motor vehicle without permission. A woman he was on a date with in Airway Heights accused him of steaing her car and almost running over her foot.
