The Slice

The Wednesday Slice question

To what extent do you form your opinion of a business based on your impression of the first employee* you encounter?

* Not counting greeters or receptionists.**

** Unless the receptionist is so uninterested or unhelpful that you are forced to question the judgment of the people who run the place.***

*** Of course, if the people who run the place don't care about having a personality-plus receptionist it could be that their product or service is of such high quality that marketing and image are essentially irrelevant to them. Or maybe the receptionist's attitude is a warning sign and you should turn on your heels and run.
