The Slice

When a co-worker embarrasses you

When I was right out of college and at my first newspaper shortly after the discovery of fire, I worked with an older photographer who was a little rough around the edges.

His personal style and sense of manners were not highly evolved.

Don't get me wrong. I got along OK with the guy.

But he would do things like rev his V8 car engine when stopped at a light as an attractive woman passed in front of us in the crosswalk.

Ever tried to duck down and hide behind the dashboard?

When I would ask him to refrain from doing that (or some similar transgression), he inevitably would look at me with a puzzled expression and say "What?"

Anyway, I thought of him this morning. And it made me wonder.

Ever worked with someone who embarrassed you in front of others?
