The Slice

Booty shaking, et cetera

Remember a few years ago when someone had the idea to temporarily rename Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena after Jon Bon Jovi?

Right. It was playful and all. But not everyone thought it was a great plan. You know how that goes.

Well, I noticed that K.C. and The Sunshine Band will be performing out at Northern Quest next month. And I was wondering if the folks out at the casino might be up for some fun.

It wouldn't require changing any names or annoying veterans. Rather it would just involve having casino employees repeat a certain lyric over and over when dealing with customers.

I'll give you a hint about the phrase I have in mind.

Here's the opening to "That's the Way (I Like It)," a hit song from shortly after the Earth's crust cooled.

Oh, that's the way, uh-huh uh-huh

I like it, uh-huh uh-huh

That's the way, uh-huh uh-huh

I like it, uh-huh uh-huh

Remember that? Sure you do.

You can guess where I'm going with this.

On the day of the concert, have all casino employees spice their customer service with a lot of "Uh-huh uh-huh."

You know, when answering questions or what-not.

Could be fun. Or not.

Just a thought.

Uh-huh uh-huh.
