The Slice

On the nightstand

Dana Morrill shared this.

"I have had Jonathan Sumption's 'The Hundred Years War, Volume 1' on my nightstand and have taken it with me traveling for at least three years. I started reading the book because I like reading history and Sumption does a great job on 'The Hundred Years War.'

"I am about 3/4 of the way through it. But, as often happens, I got distracted by other books. So it is still on my nightstand, where I read it in between being interrupted by other books.

"I guess you could say that I lack book reading discipline. Maybe this will help me light the afterburners and finish it and the next volume."
