The Slice

A future Girl Scout in action

So this mom and her tiny daughter were making their way along a grocery store aisle when the child asked about something she had seen just inside the store's entrance.

"Those were Girl Scouts, selling those cookies," the mother said.

Then the mom suggested that maybe the little girl could be a Girl Scout when she is older.

The kid seemed to like that idea. "Maybe when I'm this many," the girl said, as she tried to get her fat little fingers to work.

It was hard to tell how many fingers she intended to be holding out, or even if she was actually making the Vulcan "Live long and prosper" gesture. But she's got a few years to work on it.
