The Slice

Here at the Socialist Review

We're all pretty excited here at the Socialist Review as our annual May Day celebrations draw near.

As always, we'll be singing rousing choruses of "The Internationale" and waving our flags adorned with the hammer and sickle.

We'll recite our "Share the wealth" oath. We'll bask in the warm glow of overheated conspiracies. And we won't quibble about distinguishing Socialist iconography from Communist iconography. We're all Reds, right? That's what our one-world government leaders say anyway.

But this year, after we dance around the May Pole in the newsroom, it will be taken down and chopped into a couple of Festivus poles, for use on another godless holiday.

Just remember. To each, according to his need. From each, according to his ability.

And by that we mean, please settle your subscription statement by the due date.
