The Slice

A failure to communicate

Georgia Crawford has been hearing impaired for years.

So talking on the phone can be an iffy proposition.

Once she answered and couldn't really make out what the caller was saying.

"I asked the person on the other end to repeat his message."

This led to a moment of confusion before Georgia realized it was an obscene phone call.

"He hung up."

Perhaps muttering "I can't work like this."
