The Slice

Is there a license plate that prompts you to approach strangers?

Here's my theory.

Everyone in Spokane reacts to at least one state's license plate so strongly that it is impossible to not chat up the strangers emerging from the car in question.

Maybe it's the plate from the state where you used to live. Perhaps it is the plate from where you went to school or were stationed in the military. Maybe it is your spouse's home state.

I bring this up because this is the time of year when you see more out-of-state license plates than usual.

So which state is your parking lot/gas station small-talk trigger? Delaware? Arkansas? Alaska?
