Candidates wanted for local races

Today is the final day of filing week, and after the Spokane County elections office closed Thursday there were still more than three dozen elective positions still in search of a candidate.

Not in search of a competitive race, or even just a choice for voters. No candidates at all. Nada. Zilch.

Of course, there are always strategic reasons for waiting for the last minute, and that final check with the spouse or significant other before jumping into the ring. But for those still on the fence, here's the list of positions with no one yet filed.
