This week’s Olympia Update rescheduled for 12:30 p.m. Tuesday

Olympia Update, The Spokesman-Review's recap of last week's events and look ahead at this week's possibilities, is being rescheduled for 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

We'll be doing Facebook Live at that time on the newspaper's Facebook page.

It's true that this is usually done at noon Monday. So why the delay?

In truth, not much happened last week. Legislators seem no closer to a deal on the 2017-19 operating budget than they did a week ago, or for that matter at the start of the special session. The Legislature, as a body, did not meet last week.

Most of the activity involves bills passed in the regular session that are being signed into law. Dozens and dozens were signed last week, but another big batch will be signed Tuesday morning, so we'll update all of them after that's done, and provide information on anything else happening.

Check us out then.
