Spokane Valley

Planes, trains and more trains

The Spokane-area grew around the rail lines and no one wants to get rid of the trains - but is there some way to shush the trains in Spokane Valley? Train traffic has increased over the past decade as the switch yard in Hillyard closed and the trains moved down to Yardley. We watched three trains go through this intersection Tuesday morning. One blew its horn six times, another blew four times and the last one blew three times. Could you live next to this?
