Spokane Valley elected officials and staff will host an open house at Spokane Valley Mall on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mayor Rod Higgins will give a state of the city address at 11 a.m. and there will be exhibits by a variety of Spokane Valley organizations, including Valleyfest, SCOPE and SCRAPS. 

The event is on the first floor of the mall, near the J.C. Penney entrance.
