Take to the links this Friday, WSU style

COUGARS

It may be Friday, and your thoughts are on the weekend, but before you check out mentality today, take some time and read the links. They're worth it today.
••••••••••

• As usual, we have our items, both football and basketball stories that were in the S-R today. But somewhat unusual is the depth of stories out there with Cougar connections today. To whit, this Pac-10 football piece by Nick Daschel of Buster Sports that mentions WSU often. Or this ACC sports journal interview with Cougar guard Taylor Rochestie. And there are other stories that are just plain interesting, including an Arizona Republic feature on the relationship between new Arizona coach Sean Miller and ASU coach Herb Sendek. Plus there are Pac-10 news pieces that you might want to peruse, like the story about Jrue Holiday declaring for the NBA draft, which also summarizes some of the recent surprising declarations in the LA area, a story about a UW transfer and the piece about Russ Pennell's new job.

• Someone posted a comment about a recent arrest of defensive back Myron Beck on an outstanding warrant. It doesn't seem to be anything major at first blush, with Beck having reportedly not taken care of a speeding ticket. We should have more later.

•••

• That's it for this morning. We'll be back as events warrant. Until then …
