NC boys hoopers keep scrapping

As the last two or three years have shown, don't underestimate North Central basketball. The Indians have it going as Friday night's win over an improved Rogers team showed. I took the ciruitous route to the game, braving downtown traffic to arrive at NC at 5:30 only to find they'd moved the game to Rogers - if you didn't get on the GSL website who'd of known? Only missed two minutes of the game, however and the Pirates were already up 7-2, a lead they stretched to 13-6 before Nathan Pelton and company took control with a "been-there-done-that" attitude. Lots of traveling calls on both sides, but the Indians ultimately got the better of it with rebounding and defense to go on a 28-8 tear.

Here's my girls game story too

Gonzaga and Lewis and Clark moved to today, 12:45 and 2:15 p.m., along with several other makeup games (East Valley at University, 5:30 and 7:15; Ferris boys at Mead, 2:30. and there'll be makeups Monday as well when Shadle Park travels to NC.
