WSU pulls out 55-54 win


Taylor Rochestie's drive, DeAngelo Casto's defensive block and viola, the losing streak is over. But not without some tough moments. An offensive flurry – a 10-0 run to boot – to open the second half, capped by Klay Thompson's fastbreak slam dunk over Mitch Johnson – and one – gave WSU a 34-32 lead. From there, Saturday night's battle with Stanford became just that, a battle, with the Cougars pulling out a 55-54 win. The Cougars received some unexpected help from their bench, including Casto, who played in conjunction with Aron Baynes more than he has all year, and Abe Lodwick, to hang in until the end.
