ASU up 30-27 at the half


Despite an early 9-0 run by the Sun Devils, WSU patiently clawed its way back into this game and trail by three at the half. James Harden had 13 points for the Devils, though that's unofficial because we don't have stats up here in the Wells Fargo Arena rafters. Klay Thompson has matched him after playing the final few minutes of the half with two fouls. Aron Baynes is winning the battle inside with Jeff Pendergraph, outscoring ASU's post 12-7 though both have four rebounds. The Cougars hit 10 of 24 shots, which is much better than their most recent outing. But ASU was better, hitting 11 of 22, including 3 of 8 from beyond the arc. One interesting stat: The Cougars have committed eight fouls, including six against Harden. ASU has three fouls. We'll be back at the end with your postgame post. Till then …
