Gonzaga junior guard Steven Gray (pictured vs. North Carolina) has branched out into a different arena. More here.

--It's the first day of the early signing period, but it's quiet at Gonzaga. The Bulldogs figure to sign three players in the next two years and might keep a couple of those for the 2011 class, which appears to be strong for recruiting in the northwest. Gonzaga is in a position to be choosy, and patient.

--Tayshaun Prince's injury has opened up more playing time for ex-Zag Austin Daye with the Detroit Pistons.

--Was going to link to a GU release about a limited number of tickets being available to Bulldog Club members for Saturday's opener, but the game is now a sellout. The remaining tickets were purchased Wednesday morning.
