Game-day morning

A roundup of items prior to Gonzaga facing Michigan State tonight in Lansing, Mich.

Read on.

--Just watched a replay of Saint Mary's dismantling San Diego State. The Gaels were outstanding, though their best play was done before ESPN joined the game in progress. I think SMC was already up 25-5 when it hit the airwaves. San Diego fell at Pacific and there are some health concerns with guard Brandon Johnson.

Here are some game stories on GU's upcoming non-conference opponents: Colorado, WSU-EWU and Duke.

GU-MSU LINKS -- Lansing State Journal's preview here, here and here; Detroit Free Press preview here; John Blanchette's GU scheduling thoughts; and Tacoma's Dave Boling opining that UW-GU play home and home.

--Programming note: I didn't make the trip to Lansing (budgetary reasons) and probably won't make several trips this season. I'll put together a recap that I'll post later tonight.
