Another Vandal gets WAC kudos
The 6-1 Vandals (who received four points in the latest AP poll, by the way) had yet another player receive a weekly WAC award, this time defensive end Aaron Lavarias. He had four tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble on Saturday -- and was quoted in Bud Withers' column today in the Seattle Times. The Vandals have had someone on the WAC weekly award list for all but two weeks this season.
Also, coach Robb Akey said this morning that there are no major injury issues after Saturday and he expects everyone to play. The Vandals have had remarkably few injuries so far. "It’s been a very good thing for this football team," Akey said of good health, "and I hope and pray it continues to happen," he said.
