A look back at Eastern’s big playoff win

Eastern Washington's 37-17 win over Southeast Missouri State in Saturday's second round of the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs moved the top-ranked and fifth-seeded Eagles into the quarterfinals, where they will host unseeded North Dakota State at Roos Field this coming Friday or Saturday.

I've included some links to related FCS playoffs stories below and will post a link later this evening to a day-after story on Eastern's win over SEMO that will appear in Monday morning's S-R.

Read on.

For those of you who missed it, I'm including this link to my EWU-SEMO game story that appeared in Sunday's S-R, along with this link to the sidebar I did on J.C. Sherritt's game-changing tackle of the Redhawks' Henry Harris on a fourth-and-1 situaiton from near midfield.

In addition, you can read the game story that appeared in the Southeast Missourian here, and check out the Missourian's sidebar that deals mainly with the play of Eastern running back Taiwan Jones here.  EWU's sports information department posted this game story, and the Big Sky Conference office offered this roundup of the two playoff games involving league schools.

For those of you wanting more info on North Dakota State, you can check out the story of their win over Montana State that ran in The Bozeman Daily Chronicle here, and you can access the Bison website here.
