WSU leads 36-24 at half

I tweeted this earlier, but there is a distinct lack of energy in the Spokane Arena tonight – in the stands and on the floor. But only with the guys in white. Only a 12-2 run near the end of the half allowed them to open any kind of a lead. The lack of patience and resulting shot selection helped keep Pan-Am in the game for most of the half. ... Yes, Pan American's defense – the Broncs are playing harder – had a role in that, but when the Cougars started moving the ball later in the half, they went on a 19-5 spurt that gave them the 12-point halftime edge. ... The WSU defense started to tighten up in the last 10 minutes as well, holding the Broncs to 2-13 in the final 11 minutes. We'll be back after the game, but remember, we are on Twitter at vinceg55.
