Zags win fifth straight

As promised, I've posted my game story that will run in Saturday's S-R. Gonzaga won its fifth straight, in surprisingly easy fashion, 73-52 over Oklahoma State, handing the Cowboys' just their second loss. Check back tomorrow for a day-after post and preview of Sunday's Wake…

Vandals steamroll La Tech

It got out of hand early at Cowan Spectrum, though there were just a smattering of Vandal fans at Cowan Spectrum to enjoy it. Idaho blasted a Louisiana Tech team that clearly appeared out of gas, winning 77-47. Our game story is below.

Zags thump Oklahoma State

Gonzaga put together some of its best stretches of basketball of the season en route to a convincing 73-52 win over Oklahoma State on Friday. Elias Harris scored a season-high 22 points, Rob Sacre had a double-double (16 points, 15 rebounds) and Steven Gray added…

Some pregame musings at USC

COUGARS By this time of the season, basketball is simple. You do what you do and the other team tries to stop it. There are few secrets. Oh, an occasional entry you've held back that works against a zone or man or whatever. But the…

Zags roll, Bjorklund gets record

Shoutout today for Tennessee's all-time leader in 3-pointers - Spokane's own Angie Bjorklund, above in a Knoxville News-Sentinel photo and the Stanford women. Where does the time go? The plan was an early morning women's basketball post and then start the long weekend. Started the…
