Gonzaga goes to 3-0 in WCC

In workmanlike fashion, Gonzaga defeated San Diego 68-50 on Saturday at the Jenny Craig Pavilion.

The Bulldogs, who led by nine at half, stretched it to 15 early in the second before the Toreros pulled within seven. GU (14-3, 3-0 WCC) steadily pulled away and led by double digits for the last 8 minutes.

Elias Harris scored 20 points and Steven Gray added 17. Harris left the game for two minutes after taking a hard fall while pursuing an offensive rebound. He returned at the 3:45 mark and scored on GU's next two possessions.

Demetri Goodson scored 12 points and had a team-high five assists. Rob Sacre had six points, 10 rebounds, four blocks and three assists.

De'Jon Jackson led USD with 14 points and Brandon Johnson had 13, but he made just 3 of 15 shots.

The Bulldogs made 53.2 percent fo their shots. USD shot 34.5 percent.

Check back for my game story in about two hours.
