Eags get commitment from Stefo
Eastern Washington University's football team has received an oral commitment from one of the top offensive linemen in the state of Colorado.
Christian Stefo, a 6-foot-6, 315-pound senior at Pomona High School in Arvada, Colo., visited the EWU campus last weekend and confirmed on Thursday that he plans to sign a national letter of intent with the Eagles on Feb. 3.
"I liked the campus, the weather, the players, the coaches -- everything about it," Stefo said of his visit to Cheney. "It seemed like the right place for me."
Stefo, who also received scholarship offers from South Dakota, Northern Colorado, after helping lead Pomona to the State 5A title game and being named to the elite All-Colorado team that selects the best players at their positions, regardless of classification.
