COUGARS

Washington State will practice in Pullman today then get on a plane tomorrow for the trip to Arkansas and the NCAA baseball tournament. If the Cougars can survive the four-team regional, they would probably head to Tempe and a super regional showdown with Pac-10 rival ASU (if the Sun Devils win, of course). We have some baseball links and notes for you so read on ...

• Stories from Arkansas are not hard to find, but linking isn't an option because the Little Rock paper has a pay site. We did find a couple small items we can link on Kansas State from the Manhattan Mercury, including this piece on the Wildcats' lone all-tourney rep, catcher Daniel Dellasega, but nothing on the upcoming regional. ... We have our story, of course, and a short piece from freelancer Howie Stalwick in the Kitsap Sun. Over at CougCenter, they did this analysis of the Pac-10 this season. And that's about it. ... We'll have a couple more stories for you this week prior to Friday's first game.

• That's it for now. We'll be back as events warrant. Until then ...
