Shock losing Pino to CFL

Spokane offensive lineman Chris Pino has signed a contract with Montreal of the CFL. The Shock today placed Pino on the other league exempt list. CFL teams are just beginning training camp.

Spokane recently signed ex-Idaho Vandal Adam Juratovac and Rob McMackin, a starter earlier this season, will probably come off injured-reserve in a couple of weeks.

A bit more below.

From Shock PR:

The Spokane Shock announced today that OL Chris Pino has been placed on Other League Exempt after signing a contract with the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes.

Pino made his first start in week four against the Cleveland Gladiators and remained in the starting lineup for the next four games.

“We are thrilled that Chris is getting the chance to show his abilities in the CFL,” Head Coach Rob Keefe said.  “He has worked hard for this opportunity and he deserves it.”

Spokane’s next game is on June 12th as they travel to Orlando to take on the Predators. The Shock’s next home game is June 18th against the Tulsa Talons. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by contacting TicketsWest.
