4A boys: Mead survives, 52-45

The Mead Panthers broke a curse of sorts - finally winning on the court where they lost the state championship in 2003 - as they knocked off Lake Stevens 52-45.

Mead (20-6) will play to get into a state trophy game Friday when it takes on Lincoln (19-8) at 12:30.

Panthers senior Aaron Dunn, who struggled and scored just seven points Wednesday, bounced back to for a game-high 22.

More later.
