Zags edge Cougars in thriller, Idaho wins

For basketball, it's the start since teams often have Thanksgiving and Christmas tournaments to go to.
Idaho and Gonzaga both finished 2-1 in tournaments. Idaho improved to 5-1 by going 2-1 in the Oregon tourney with a win over previous undefeated Cal-Bakersfield, thanks to a good performance off the bench from a freshman. Gonzaga, meanwhile, ended up 2-1 in Hawaii but beating Washington State in Hawaii. It was a good game from the start and makes their matchup at McCarthey Athletic Center on Dec. 11 seems like a long ways away. See you there.
