WSU freshman football player arrested

A Washington State redshirt freshman cornerback was arrested on felony theft charges earlier this week and suspended from the football team. For more, read on.

• Tracy Clark, a 5-foot-9, 181-pound freshman cornerback who redshirted last year, has been suspended from the team after being arrested Wednesday by Washington State police on burglary charges. Clark, 19, from Pittsburg, Calif., was charged with residential burglary and second-degree theft, both felonies. According to a report by KQQQ radio in Pullman, police allege Clark stole a laptop computer from an open Streit Hall dorm room Jan. 29.

• Also, and this seems weird to pair with the previous item, but I wanted to pass it along, Klay Thompson was named the Naismith Midseason 30 list Friday. As the list was winnowed down from 50, Thompson was joined by Washington's Isaiah Thomas and Arizona's Derrick Williams from the Pac-10.
