From snow to sun. Though the latter won't last long, as the U.S. Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for the Valley of the soon-to-be-hiding sun. Looks like rain for the weekend. Oh well. A high of 67 still looks pretty good when it hasn't been over 45 in a while. Read on.

• Washington State: The Cougars are already en route to Tucson. Just a few weeks ago, Arizona took the same trip in reverse. The 65-63 win in Pullman seemed to jump start the Wildcats' season. They haven't lost since. ... As we said in a post yesterday, we also cover college baseball in the area, which opens this weekend. With that in mind, we pass along this story we did for the Review.
