WSU gets ready for a visit from the Ducks

COUGARS • UPDATE: 7 P.M.

About an hour until Eastern Washington University represents for this side of the state in the NCAA FCS championship game. We'll be watching that and rooting – yes, when we don't cover the team we can be a fan – for the Eagles. But before that, we have a quick post and a link to our advance of tomorrow's Oregon game. Read on.

••••••••••

• The Ducks come to town tomorrow – actually they are already in Pullman and practicing at Beasley as we write – for a matchup with WSU. This one means a little more for the Cougars due to the circumstances surrounding last year's finish at Friel and Oregon's three wins against Washington State over the course of the season. That's the basis of our advance, which you can read here.

• We also have one other piece of news. WSU center Zack Williams has been invited to play in the Shrine Game for college football seniors. We'll have more later.

•••

• That's it for now. We'll be back in the morning, hopefully after watching an NCAA title headed back to the Inland Northwest. Until then ...
