Meyer to start, Rowley No. 2 vs. Arizona

Spokane has settled on Erik Meyer as its starting quarterback vs. Arizona, but head coach Rob Keefe stressed that the appointment is on a one-game basis.

Keefe emphasized that point several times during a phone interview this evening. Meyer will be backed up by Kyle Rowley (the roles were reversed last season) in Saturday's game. The situation will be re-visited if necessary.

Bill Stull, who started against Dallas, was released. AFL teams don't carry three quarterbacks on a 24-player roster (21 on game day) and the Shock has Steven Sheffield on injured reserve.
