Report: Levenseller joins Idaho staff
UPDATED: 6:05 p.m.
Mike Levenseller spent 19 years on the Washington State football staff, including the eight years Robb Akey was defensive line coach and defensive coordinator in Pullman. And now, according to FootballScoop.com, Akey has hired Levenseller to fill a vacant spot on his staff at Idaho.
Check below for an update.

Here's a short story I filed for the paper. Idaho SID Becky Paull said no hire has been made and Akey did not want to comment because he was still interviewing candidates. You can find the job postings I refer to below here. Today was the first day of the spring semester at UI and a team meeting, which is standard at this point, was scheduled for this evening.

MOSCOW, Idaho – Mike Levenseller, who spent 19 years as an offensive assistant at Washington State, will join Robb Akey’s staff at the University of Idaho, according to FootballScoop.com.
Akey has two open spots on his staff after offensive coordinator Steve Axman retired last month and wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator Luther Carr was apparently let go.
UI sports information director Becky Paull said Akey is still interviewing candidates and has not settled on any hire. The closing date for both job postings, which were announced online, is Friday.
Akey did not return a message left for him Wednesday evening.
Levenseller and Akey coached together at WSU from 1999 to 2006. Levenseller served at different times as the Cougars’ receivers coach and offensive coordinator after being hired prior to the 1992 season.
