EWU football schedule, and a poll
Eastern Washington released its fooball schedule on Wednesday, a front-loaded package that includes early trips to Idaho and Washington State plus an early matchup with Montana. Which poses an important question:
Speaking of polls, Erik Meyer was the winner of our previous poll, which asked readers to name the top quarterback in EWU history. Meyer received 50 votes out of 101, ahead of Bo Levi Mitchell (34), Matt Nichols (14) and Mark Tenneson (3).
The 2012 schedule - Getting back to the upcoming season, I think it's a win-win for Eagle fans, who get five home games plus two more (Idaho and WSU) withing easy driving distance. Last year they had just four. The home opener with Montana will be a big one and an undoubted sellout, and a week later the Eagles will play host to conference newcomer North Dakota. The only downside is two November games against Cal Poly and UC Davis (on the other hand, as I'm looking outside at the snow, wouldn't you love to see those California boys try to play in this stuff?)
I'm curious how people feel about the this year's schedule.
