Shock QB Froman: Smarts and athleticism

Adam Froman is the latest to take the helm of the Spokane Shock offense. After an injury riddled 2011 season at the quarterback position, 2012 got off to a rocky start when starter Erik Meyer suffered a concussion late in the season opener.

Enter Froman, who nearly helped Spokane pull off a miraculous comeback in that opener against Iowa and then rallied the Shock out of a two-touchdown hole against San Antonio. He's an intriguing QB prospect and an entertaining interview subject. Froman carried a 4.0 grade-point average in high school and earned number of academic honors at Santa Rosa Junior College and Louisville. He's also 6-4, 220 pounds with a strong arm and can cover 40 yards in 4.55 seconds. Oh yeah, he's getting married next month, too.

Read more about Froman in a feature article that will run in Thursday's S-R.
