We had news for you yesterday, both on the blog and in the newspaper, about WSU's season-opener at BYU being moved to Thursday, Aug. 30. Bud Withers of the Seattle Times also has some thoughts, as does CougCenter. As Withers notes, WSU will satisfy two of the Pac-12's eight required Thursday/Friday games for the 2012 season. Here's some perspective from the BYU side. ... In basketball news, WSU officially announced the signing of Australian center James Hunter, who spent the last two seasons at Gillette College in Wyoming. ... Howie Stalwick notes in this story that C.J. Mizell has been cleared of all charges in connection with his February arrest. ... Here's a radio interview with Drew Bledsoe. ...
