Monday links to start bye week

FROM PULLMAN -- It might be bye week for Washington State, but nothing will change for the next few days. For now, we have links. Read on.

In today's newspaper, we wrote our usual follow story, this one focusing on Washington State's priorities as it enters its bye week. Also, we recapped practice on the blog last night. ... Howie Stalwick has this follow story in the Kitsap Sun. ... Here's WSU's NCAA stats page.

Around the Pac-12 ... The Tutogi brothers should make contact this weekend when Arizona meets Washington. ... Arizona State's defense is readying for a quick Oregon offense. ... California and Stanford meet this week in an oddly scheduled Big Game.  ... Oregon's No. 3 BCS ranking doesn't mean anything for the Ducks at this point. ... Oregon State can get by with its backup quarterback for now. ... Utah is preparing for its "second season," which will be harder than the first. ... Colorado has to deal with USC this week, with the Trojans trying to get their offense back on track. ... USC is just happy to be back in the BCS standings after a two-year ban. ... UCLA is hoping its bye week can help them heal. ... Bud Withers offers some Pac-12 thoughts.

That's all for now.
